A $30 million athletics and recreation facility atop Jericho Hill in the town of Alfred on 200 acres of land will expand Alfred University's intercollegiate athletics offerings, significantly increasing student enrollment, 支持学生保留工作, and providing a high-quality experience for our student-athletes.

- 撒克逊体育中心: home locker rooms; athletic training room; offices; assembly space where alumni, parents/families can gather for tailgate functions; restrooms; media room.
- 棒球场: lighted, synthetic turf field with scoreboard; bullpens and dugouts. A two-story facility will house restrooms, 小卖部, 运动训练室, 一楼还有一间团队室, 二楼还有一个新闻发布室. The Saxon baseball team will begin playing in the spring of 2024, playing a limited number of home games at local college ballparks until the 撒克逊人山 field is ready for use for the spring 2026 season.
- Track & 字段: lighted 400-meter eight-lane track with jump and throws areas and a video scoreboard. The track's infield will have a multi-purpose synthetic turf field, which will serve as the future home for the intercollegiate field hockey team (anticipated to begin competition at the project's completion) and as a practice and game field for men’s and women’s lacrosse, 还有男足和女足. 在某些情况下, the field will also serve as a practice facility for football and men’s and women’s rugby.
- 交叉: 现有的越野赛道, which has been used primarily for training but has hosted competitive meets, will be retained and used for practices and competitions.
- 橄榄球: lighted, natural grass field with scoreboard. The women's rugby team will celebrate its inaugural season as an intercollegiate sport in 2024-25 and the men's rugby team will also be housed under the athletic department. Currently, both women's and men's rugby teams have re-ignited as club teams.
- Two-Sided, Two-Tier Grandstand/Bleacher Facility: the first floor of this central facility will serve as storage for athletic equipment. The second floor will house a two-sided press box, with one side facing the track and multi-purpose field and the other facing the rugby field. Bleachers on either side of the facility will accommodate spectator viewing for both venues.
- 游客中心: the building will house visitors’ team rooms, concessions, and restrooms.

The University estimates the project will increase new student enrollment by approximately 170 in the first six years of its opening. This demonstrates to our recruits that athletics is an integral part of Alfred University. This facility will also compare with our opponents' facilities, allowing us to be more competitive in the recruiting process while also providing our students with facilities that fill them with a sense of pride.
撒克逊人山 will provide a better quality of experience for student-athletes and athletics staff as there will be less early morning and late-night practices: Student recruitment will be further enhanced by 撒克逊人山 hosting sports camps and clinics for high school students.
一旦完成, 撒克逊人山 will complement nearby existing sports and recreational facilities located in the area atop Jericho Hill. These include the Bromeley-Daggett Equestrian Center at Maris Cuneo Equine Park, home to Alfred University's world-class equestrian program, 和福斯特湖, which provides the campus community with numerous recreational and co-curricular opportunities.
